Last orders in the bistro are half an hour before we close. Hours are seasonal and change from 6 September.
Coffee first thing, lunch on the deck, a pizza to carry back to the lodge, and the loaf of bread you forgot to pack. The Command Post sits at the centre of the park, a short walk from every lodge.
Eat and drink
A warm, inviting spot for food, drinks and a moment to relax – comfortable seating and cosy armchairs inside, an expansive deck with scenic views outside.
Open daily for fresh coffee and pastries. Takeaway pizza too – eat in, or take it back to your lodge.

Pick what you would like from the menu, choose a collection time and send the order across. We will confirm it by email or phone.
The shop
Free-range eggs, freshly baked bread, meat from a local butcher, handmade chocolate, pickles, chutneys, jams and locally brewed beer – alongside the everyday things you forgot to pack.
Breakfast boxes, hampers and grocery packs can be arranged for the morning you arrive. Speak to the bistro to talk through the options, or dial 5090 from your lodge once you are here.
In the woods
The booklet for the fairy trail lives here too. Pick one up before you set off, find the little doors and wind chimes along The Famous Montgomery Walk, then bring it back and show us what you found — finished or not, there is a prize in it.
The walk starts at the gate just along from the shop, signed on both posts.
