Here at Rockingham Forest Park, we have 630 acres of ancient woodland in a very beautiful part of what is classed as both Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. In the park, there are many woodland walks to explore; a lot of our guests choose to walk or even bring their own bikes with them. Most of our walks are suitable for mountain bikes.
If you wanted to explore a little further field, there are many places local to us that have their own trails for you to discover and enjoy. They have their own bikes that you can hire for the day, and they are all in close proximity to Rockingham Forest Park.
Fineshade
Why not give Fineshade Woods a visit, they are located between us and Corby off of the A43 and provide a beautiful, picturesque setting for the keen bicycle enthusiasts. They have several different trails for you to try; If you are looking for a family-friendly trail, gentle-to-moderate for beginners/novices and something more challenging, then they have something for everyone. Ferry Meadows

Why not visit Ferry Meadows? The country park is located a few miles away from us and is the heart of Nene Park. They have beautiful views, lovely meadows and make a great place for families, couples, and individuals to cycle around. You can purchase a map from the visitor centre which features a full network of the cycleways around the Peterborough area. The map marks 2 cycle trails in Nene Park. Rutland Water
Cycling around Rutland is a favourite amongst locals and visitors, you can try the mainly off-road circular which is 23 miles or by missing off the peninsular the route is 17 miles. There are some lovely country pubs enroute. You can also take a leisurely cycle and enjoy the beautiful view of Rutland water itself with an obligatory ice cream stop on the way! Rutland Cycling has a range of cycles available to hire, these include easy-riding cruisers, lightweight hybrids, mountain bikes, tandems, children’s cycles, buggies for toddlers and electric bikes.
