Batten Down The Hatches

Here at Rockingham Forest Park, our maintenance crews are busy readying the Park for Autumn and the changing of the seasons from sultry sizzles to crisp and crunchy frosts.

We recently won the Rose Award for ‘Recognition of Service Excellence’ from Visit England, and we pride ourselves on keeping our Park looking immaculate and at its best all year round.

We are environmentally conscious as a team and like to work with the land and nature where possible.

Our guests enjoy our beautiful wildflowers that grow abundantly around the Lodges and Park, much like this Ox Eye Daisy.

However, these have come to the end of their glory for another year and have been neatly mown back to make way for Jack Frost and the fallen burnt orange leaves that will soon descend upon us.

Autumn is a magical time at Rockingham, with the many walks around the Park and is the perfect opportunity to get bundled up in your winter woollies, pull on your boots and get out in nature.

Little ones can find worksheets in reception, which always keep inquisitive minds moving on a blustery walk.

Once you have topped up your soul with all the Autumn feels, why not stop in at our Bistro ‘The Command Post’ to warm your hands around a steaming cup of hot chocolate and treat yourselves to a well-deserved slice of cake?
