Beauty and nature are not something we lack here at Rockingham Forest Park; we really are in awe of the beauty that surrounds us here. It is something that is seemingly breath-taking in all seasons, but there is just something that is magical about looking at the glistening snow blanketing your surroundings.
Picture this, you’ve come to stay at the park, there is a chill in the air, and you can see your breath outside, it’s a very refreshing feeling. You go to bed in one of our king-size beds with the thick luxurious duvet and wake up the next morning feeling great. You open the curtains and see the whole park is covered with snow; Jack Frost has visited! Your inner child can’t wait to put a cosy coat, gloves, and scarf on and spend the day walking and having a huge snowball fight with your family. All of this followed by hot chocolate when you get in to warm yourself up. Sounds pretty perfect to me!
The most wonderful time of the year
Christmas is a very special time of year for all. A magical time full of love, laughter and twinkly lights.
We get very excited here at the park, it’s our favourite time of year and we can’t wait to decorate the park with pretty trees and festive reindeers. The reception area and all of our lodges are decorated with a tree to really get you in that festive mood.
A lot of families have started a brand-new Christmas tradition at Rockingham Forest Park; bringing their families to stay here and sharing their festive joy with us.
There is a lot of festive activities to enjoy in the area, from outdoor ice rinks, Christmas plays and traditional markets. It’s the little things and the memories that make this time of year special, with an added bit of luxury.
We know not a lot of people like to be away from home at this time of year but how lovely is it to bring, all of that family time to a nice quiet stay in nature, where you can breath, explore and relax.
Creating those unforgettable memories with your loved ones, with the beautiful countryside walks, baking Christmas cookies and playing boardgame’s, and having the option to wake up on the morning of Christmas and soaking up the morning in one of our beautiful hot tub lodges, whilst the frost kisses your nose. Let all the preparation of the season stress just float away.
