The Refill Movement

What is Sustainability?

Sustainability consists of fulfilling the needs of current generations without compromising the needs of future generations, while ensuring a balance between economic growth, environmental care, and social well-being.

Here at Landal Rockingham Forest we are proud to be working with Rituals as they are very passionate about their sustainability. Being in a woodland setting we love all things nature and sustainability is a key goal for us, where possible we source local and sustainable products, Rituals being one of them.

Rituals Key Sustainability Pledges

99% of the palm oil we use is now RSPO certified.

Over 70% of our formulas contain 90% natural origin ingredients.

All our rinse-off formulas are readily biodegradable.

For every refill sold, we will plant, protect, or restore a tree.

We conduct life-cycle assessments for our packaging.

Were committed to making all our packaging refillable, recyclable, or made of recycled materials.

Alongside their sustainability pledges, Rituals have supporting and developing programmes such as supporting charities, founding their own foundation and head office employees partaking in volunteering days.

When you come and stay with us here at Landal Rockingham Forest you will see that all our Rituals toiletry products are in larger bottles attached to the wall. This is so we can top up the products ready for every check in. This eliminates single use plastic if we were to provide little bottles per check-in, allowing for easy refill and reduced waste.

How can I be more sustainable in day-to-day life?

  • Travel Sustainably
  • Reduce, reuse, recycle
  • Recycle, resell, donate
  • Grow a greener garden
  • Be a sustainable shopper

As a business we are making steps to be as sustainable as possible, with the help of Rituals and their pledges we know we are taking those steps in the right direction.
