Clothes Recycling Bank

Here at Rockingham Forest Park, it is our mission to be as eco-conscious and sustainable as we possibly can. The textiles industry as a whole, accounts to 10% of greenhouse gas emissions contributing to global warming.

The best way we can help is to reuse, reduce, repair and resale. 90% of textiles can be recycled and restored, instead of being discarded.

Not only is it beneficial for the environment when you recycle old clothes and textiles, but it can also help charities in the UK and sometimes all over the world.

At the park, we often get a lot of clothes and stuff left behind by guests and it is never claimed, so instead of having to throw these away (belongings left behind will be kept for two weeks), now we will be able to recycle them. We will then donate the money we receive to a selected local charity.

Our clothing bank will be located in the corner of the overflow car park next to the green hangar, if you have any unwanted clothes and you wish you do your bit in recycling and helping out a local charity, please feel free to pop them along and help us help the planet, one small step at a time.
